About the Conference
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Founded in 2025, Polity is an annual undergraduate research conference hosted at McGill University, organized and planned by the Political Science Students’ Association and Department of Political Science. Its purpose is to demonstrate and present the research projects and theses of McGill’s most accomplished political science students, alongside a series of seminars and panels for students to hear professors discuss the most pressing political science issues of today. Student-led presentations and professor-led seminars are categorzied by subfield (comparative politics, international relations, Canadian politics, & political theory). The conference features many opportunities for students to interact with professors, and for conference attendees to socialize with one another, with the hope of sparking further conversations and creating connections between scholars and students in the discipline.
